XFX Rx 5700 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card Review

Super affordable, fast and capable of playing most games available today on ultra graphics settings. The XFX Rx 5700 graphics cards routinely runs for around $329 on Amazon and absolutely blows the competition away for performance/cost ratio!

Benchmark tests show that the Rx 5700 performs above the GTX 1080 and is comparable to the new NVIDIA RTX 2070. Which is nice because the XFX RX 5700 costs much less than both of these options. Performance and temperatures while running the Rx 5700 have been awesome, all games are playing smooth and the frame rates even on Ultra graphics settings are awesome!

I was able to test a few games so far, see below for frame rates. Through all the bench marking and testing on this card I never once got this above 75C. Of course this highly depends on the design of your case and your cooling fan setup.

Games:

• Red Dead Redemption 2: 50-80 FPS on ultra graphics
• 7 Days To Die : 80+ FPS on max settings
• Torchlight 2 : 200+FPS
• The Witcher 3 : 70-100 FPS on ultra settings
• Skyrim (modded) – 60-90 Fps on ultra
• Portal 2 : 140-190 FPS on ultra
• Jurassic World Evolution : 90+ FPS on ultra

Overall, I would be a remiss to not recommend this card. It is insane that a $329 GPU is bench marking up there with the likes of the GTX 1070 / 1080. This is a solid budget card for any build. If you want some extra performance you can always step up to the Rx 5700XT, albeit at a slightly higher price tag ($400+). Performance differences can be seen on UserBenchmark.
